The masterplan for this Christian school was established on a rural site located strategically in centre of a high growth corridor on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. The client`s brief was to assist in the selection of the site and to develop a masterplan for the staged development of a prep, primary, middle and high school of the highest caliber. The natural amphitheater of the site allowed for the school to be planned around school oval with all vehicular traffic kept to a peripheral road system and all children kept within that zone, not needing to cross over traffic flows. The site abuts a state forest and a pod of 8 kangaroos and other native fauna inhabited the site before development and continued to do so even now some 15 years later much to the enjoyment of the children, parents and staff. This fact is an important indicator of the planning methods used by ARGO to maintain as natural a site environment as possible. The school generates all its own electricity and water, recycles all of its sewerage and solid waste  and all buildings feature a high level of passive architectural design.
